The Faculty of Languages ​​and Translation at Taiz University is considered one of the most important faculties at the university, as it provides integrated education in the fields of languages ​​and translation. In 1998, the university Rector issued a decree to establish the Center for Languages ​​and Translation at Taiz University, which included the Arabic and English departments. In 2023, on 6/8/2023, the university council approved the transformation of the center into a faculty. On 4/21/2024, the university Rector issued decree No. (73) to establish the Faculty of Languages ​​and Translation, and the work was officially launched. The faculty offers programs that include specializations in Arabic, English Language and translation, French Language and translation, and postgraduate programs to obtain Master's and Doctoral degrees in the English Language and translation department and the department of Arabic language. The faculty also offers various educational programs that include Arabic, English, French and others, in addition to advanced translation programs aimed at developing academic and professional translation skills. The faculty also includes a training unit that holds various courses in English language.
