Faculty
of Administrative Sciences was established at the beginning of the academic
year 1994/1995 as a branch of Faculty of Commerce and Economics at Sana'a
University. Under
the name of the Taiz Branch of Faculty of Commerce, 1490 male and female
students joined it from the first academic year.
Then Taiz University was established
in the academic year 1995/1996. The name of the faculty was changed to Faculty
of Administrative Sciences and back then it included four departments. In 2002,
it included five departments by starting the Department of Tourism and Hotel
Management. In the academic year 2007/2008, the number of departments in the
faculty became seven by creating two departments, the Departments of Statistics
and Informatics and the Department of Marketing.

Faculty of Education كلية التربية
The
Faculty of Education was established in the academic year: (1985/1986 AD), and
was affiliated with Sana'a University at that time.
It started with the specializations
of Islamic Studies, Arabic Language, Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics. Then,
other departments were created, the Department of English Language Studies in
87/88, the Department of Physics in 89/90, and the Department of Psychology in
91/92. In 2001/2002, the Department of Qur’an Studies was created. Currently, the
faculty includes 15 specializations, and the faculty awards a bachelor degree
in all of them. It also awards Master Degree in the Department of Curricula and
Teaching Methods (Social Studies, Sciences, English) and the Department of
Educational Administration and Planning (School Administration, Educational
Supervision and Guidance).
